The Franklin County Wildcats posted their biggest win yet this season on Saturday. They blew past Hagerstown 67-15 on the road. Given Franklin County's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 127th, while Hagerstown is ranked 407th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Madesyn Sunderhaus was the offensive standout of the matchup as she scored 21 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Ruby Singer was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Franklin County's win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Hagerstown, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-17.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklin County will face off against Shenandoah at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Shenandoah focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Tuesday. As for Hagerstown, they will head out on the road to face off against Union at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Union is on a three-game streak of home losses, Hagerstown a nine-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
