The Beatrice Orangemen put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Malcolm by a score of 49-37. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Beatrice has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Malcolm saw an underclassman step up: Halle Dolliver scored 13 points along with six rebounds. The game was Dolliver's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Baylor Bratrsovsky, who scored six points.
Beatrice's win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. As for Malcolm, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beatrice will be home for the holidays to greet Minden on Thursday. Malcolm won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Raymond Central at 2:30 p.m. on December 16th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nebraska (Raymond Central is ranked 56th, while Malcolm is ranked 40th).
