The Poudre Impalas's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They lost to Vista Ridge on the road by a decisive 70-56 margin. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
When it comes to explaining why Poudre lost, one person who can't be blamed is Luke Foster. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds. Finn Hoffman was another key contributor, scoring 6 points.
Vista Ridge can attribute much of their success to Quentin Maldonado, who scored 25 points along with 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Johnson, who scored 15 points along with 3 steals.
Poudre's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Vista Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 1-2.
Poudre will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Greeley West at 6:30 p.m. on December 7th. As for Vista Ridge, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Falcon at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Falcon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Saturday.
