Even though the Rocky Mountain Grizzlies scored an imposing 61 points on Thursday, the Eagle Mustangs still came out on top. Eagle enjoyed a cozy 77-61 victory over Rocky Mountain. That's another feather in the cap for Eagle, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Russell Gibson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 25 points along with 7 assists. That makes it two consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Eagle's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cal Huish, who scored 14 points.
Eagle's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Rocky Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Owyhee the next time they take the court. Eagle will host Owyhee at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Rocky Mountain will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
