Spartanburg hasn't had much luck against Dorman recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Spartanburg Vikings will face off against the Dorman Cavaliers at 7:30 p.m. Spartanburg is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.7 runs per game this season.

On Thursday, Spartanburg came up short against Boiling Springs and fell 10-5. The game marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Chariya Moon was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Madi House, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, Dorman gave up the first runs last Wednesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Clover by a score of 12-8. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cavaliers.

Dorman got a massive performance out of Leah Taylor, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most runs Taylor has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Maddie Bishop, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Dorman kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Dorman's record now sits at 5-2-1. As for Spartanburg, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-2.

Spartanburg might still be hurting after the 12-5 defeat they got from Dorman in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Spartanburg avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
