Volleyball Recap: Westbury Wins Going Away Against Sharpstown

Westbury's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Sharpstown Apollos with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Huskies not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 12th (when they won 3-0).

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The match finished with set scores of 29-27, 25-8, 29-27.

Westbury's win bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Sharpstown, they dropped their record down to 7-13 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Westbury will square off against rival Sterling at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Sharpstown is set to challenge their familiar foe Galena Park at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
