On Wednesday, Westlake Christian Academy had to suffer through a rough 69-35 loss at the hands of South Beloit. Westlake Christian Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-15.
When it comes to explaining why Westlake Christian Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Asa Anderson. Despite the final result, he scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Caleb Nieze, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Westlake Christian Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for South Beloit, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-4.
Westlake Christian Academy will stay at home for another game and welcome HRK at 7:30 p.m. on January 29th. South Beloit will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Yorkville Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th. Yorkville Christian is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
