It was a good run, but the West Tallahatchie Choctaws unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They were outmatched by Palmer at home and fell 66-28. West Tallahatchie was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Palmer apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played last Friday.
West Tallahatchie's loss came despite strong showings from Mario Moore and Jayden Sample. Moore scored eight points, while Sample scored seven points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Moore has scored all season.
West Tallahatchie's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Palmer, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-7.
West Tallahatchie will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on South Delta at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024. Palmer and Coahoma County will face off at 7:00 p.m. on December 21st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Coahoma County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Palmer in Mississippi (Coahoma County is ranked 38th, while Palmer is ranked 175th).
