Gilman extended the longest winning streak in MIAA A this week by beating McDonogh, 48-12. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Greyhounds.
Loyola Blakefield and Mount St. Joseph played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Loyola Blakefield eventually emerging with a 31-28 victory.
Mount St. Joseph's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Gaels feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Bryan Jangro has thrown for 1115 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, while Brandon Batts has 18 catches for 433 yards. Nevone McCrimmon leads the league in rushing with 963 yards.
The top two teams in MIAA A will face off this week when first place Calvert Hall takes on second place Gilman. Calvert Hall defeated Archbishop Spalding last week, while Gilman bested the Eagles.
The Gaels' McCrimmon is a mere 37 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season.
Biff Poggi's team led the league in scoring this week after putting up 48 points on McDonogh.
