Lyman and Seminole are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2018, but likely not for long. The Lyman Greyhounds will be playing in front of their home fans against the Seminole Seminoles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Seminole took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Lyman, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Lyman earned a 7-4 victory over Osceola. That three run margin sets a new team best for the Greyhounds this season.

Jade Perez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Those hits marked the first that she got this season.
In other batting news, Brooke Proulx and Ava Campanale did most of the damage at the plate: Proulx scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Campanale scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Those runs were Proulx's first of the season.
Lyman was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Seminole was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 9-5 to Winter Springs.
Maggie Long made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Samantha Davidson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
The win made it two in a row for Lyman and bumps their season record up to 3-5. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing 9.5 hits in those games compared to only 5.17 in the others. As for Seminole, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
Lyman's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's game. Lyman has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.9 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Seminole, though, as they've been averaging only 0.7 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Lyman continue to outrun the ball?
Lyman suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to Seminole when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will Lyman have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
