On Friday, Bellevue was able to grind out a solid win over Ross, taking the game 33-22. Given Bellevue's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 71st, while Ross is ranked 333rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
When it comes to explaining why Ross lost, one person who can't be blamed is Dekentre Hardin. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points along with three steals. Hardin continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
Bellevue has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Ross, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
Bellevue will head out on the road to face off against Maumee at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Maumee is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. Ross won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Perkins at 7:15 p.m. on January 6th.
