The Christ the Cornerstone Academy Defenders waltzed into their contest Thursday with five straight wins but they left with six. They came out on top against Antioch Christian Academy by a score of 39-27. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Christ the Cornerstone Academy also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2023.
WILL JACKSON was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds. The matchup was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. BRICE HAYWOOD was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Christ the Cornerstone Academy pushed their record up to 8-3 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Antioch Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.
Coincidentally, Christ the Cornerstone Academy and Antioch Christian Academy will both be playing Liberty Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Christ the Cornerstone Academy will head out to face Liberty Christian Academy on Friday, while Antioch Christian Academy will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
