The Bloomburg Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Leverett's Chapel by a score of 47-45. Bloomburg was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Leverett's Chapel apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November.
Leverett's Chapel's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ethan Williams, who scored 14 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Williams has scored at least 25% of Leverett's Chapel's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaggar Ward, who scored 11 points.
Bloomburg's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Leverett's Chapel, the last time they lost on the road was back last Tuesday. Having now won three straight away matches, they've pushed their record up to 3-5.
Bloomburg won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Longview Christian at 10:00 a.m. on December 9th. Hopefully Longview Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 34 on Friday. As for Leverett's Chapel, they will take on Harleton at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
