Parker is 5-0 against the Hornets since December of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Parker Braves will head out on the road to square off against the Yulee Hornets at 6:00 p.m. Parker is no doubt hoping to put an end to an 11-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Tuesday, Parker had to suffer through a rough 79-9 loss at the hands of the Crusaders. Parker has struggled against the Crusaders recently, as their match on Tuesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Yulee pushed their score all the way to 56 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 66-56 to Bishop Snyder.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Macey Reynolds, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times she's played. Rheyna Hilton was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds.
Even though they lost, Yulee smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive rebounds. This was only their 11th loss (out of 13 games) when they hit their own glass that hard.
Parker's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Yulee, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-16 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Parker against the Hornets in their previous matchup back in February of 2019 as the team secured a 59-19 victory. Does Parker have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hornets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
