Several Firewolves players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Julian Chanelo, who scored 18 points along with 5 rebounds. The match was Chanelo's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Zack Castruita, who scored 8 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals.
Glenn's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Samueli Academy, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Glenn will head out on the road to face off against Magnolia Science Academy Carson at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Magnolia Science Academy Carson's defense has only allowed 25.6 points per game this season, so Glenn's offense will have their work cut out for Glenn. As for Samueli Academy, they will be playing at home against NOVA Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. NOVA Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 19 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
