The team also got some help courtesy of Lexi Castator, who almost dropped a triple-double on 13 points, nine rebounds, and ten assists.
Meanwhile, Columbia City entered their tilt with DeKalb with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Columbia City took their match at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 69-19 victory over DeKalb. Given Columbia City's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked seventh, while DeKalb is ranked 85th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
The victory makes it two in a row for Fort Wayne Northrop and bumps their season record up to 14-5. As for Columbia City, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-2.
