Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Mandarin Mustangs, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a 38-19 bruising from the Explorers on Friday. Mandarin's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Mandarin's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tiant Wyche, who rushed for 103 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries. Jaime Ffrench jr was in the mix too, providing Mandarin with two touchdowns.
Mandarin's loss dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Columbus, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season.
Mandarin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Columbus also has no future games currently scheduled.
