Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask DuSable). They took down the Gage Park Fighting Owls 41-23 on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

DuSable's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Damaya Plant led the charge by putting up 17 points. Anaya Vivians was another key player, posting 14 points.

Gage Park's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lashonda Washington, who posted nine points. Another player making a difference was Danna Larrahondo, who put up seven points.

DuSable's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-4. As for Gage Park, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.

DuSable didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against ACERO Garcia on the 10th. As for Gage Park, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 42-36 win against EPIC Academy on the 10th.
