St. Paul was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after topping Yates Center. The Indians came in at 15 in the state poll after placing at number 32 last week.
Crest was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to third in Three Rivers (8 Man). Earlier in the week, the Lancers triumphed over Chetopa 78-36.
JORDAN MORTON and KYLE HAMMOND gave Crest a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. MORTON threw for 81 yards and two touchdowns, while HAMMOND ran for 220 yards. Teammate DYLAN SEDLAK added to the ground attack by rushing for 126 yards.
Derrick Cassell was the best wideout in the league this week as the Hornets fell to Brent Smith's team. Cassell racked up two receptions for 86 yards. Trenton Scott helped Chetopa's passing attack out by catching six balls for 42 yards.
Chetopa's Phillip Moses and Austen Sanders have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Moses has thrown for 1064 yards this season, while Sanders, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 39 catches for 577 yards. HAMMOND from the Lancers leads the league in rushing with 1332 yards.
A big matchup in Three Rivers (8 Man) this week will be when Uniontown takes on Pleasanton. The Eagles are currently in sixth, while the Blu-Jays are in fifth.
Marmaton Valley extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Pleasanton, 58-6. The win marks eighth in a row for the the Wildcats.
