Northglenn is 0-3 against Boulder since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Northglenn Norsemen will play host again and welcome the Boulder Panthers, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Northglenn focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Friday.
Northglenn scored the most points they've had all season to find success. They put the hurt on Prairie View with a sharp 70-46 victory. That 24 points margin sets a new team best for Northglenn this season.
Northglenn found their leader in underclassman Leo Lin, who scored 18 points along with three steals. That's the first time this season that Lin grabbed two or more steals. Trevor Dean was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Boulder's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by Fossil Ridge on the road and fell 67-32. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Boulder has scored all season.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Cole Morrow, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Kyle Blauch, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
Boulder struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Northglenn now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Boulder, they bumped their record down to 4-6 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Thursday's match is shaping up to be a scrappy matchup: Northglenn have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 23.2 rebounds per game. It's a different story for Boulder, though, as they've been averaging only 30.1 rebounds per game. Given Northglenn's sizeable advantage in that area, Boulder will need to find a way to close that gap.
Northglenn suffered a grim 49-29 defeat to Boulder in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Will Northglenn have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get analysis of the match and other basketball content.
