With a playoff game on the line, the Owensboro Catholic Aces rose to the challenge on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Crittenden County 49-7 at home. Owensboro Catholic's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
It was another big night for Brady Atwell, who threw for 272 yards and five touchdowns while completing 81% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Rhinerson, who picked up 91 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Owensboro Catholic has yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 12-0 record. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 34.15 points. As for Crittenden County, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
Owensboro Catholic will be playing in front of their home fans against Green County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Green County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kentucky Rankings (they are ranked 68th, while Owensboro Catholic is ranked 20th). Crittenden County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
