The Olathe Pirates are taking a road trip to  challenge the Center Vikings  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
On Saturday, Olathe didn't have quite enough to beat Rangely and fell  3-2. The Pirates have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
 Olathe took Rangely into a fifth set  but they suffered a heartbreaking seven-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 14-25, 25-17, 24-26, 25-18,  15-8.
Meanwhile, Center beat South Park 3-1  on Saturday. The  win continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Burros: they've now won five in a row.
 Center had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-21, 25-20,  25-11.
 Olathe's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Center,  the  victory  got them back to even at 10-10.
 Olathe came out on top in a nail-biter against Center in their previous meeting  back in October of 2024, sneaking past  3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the  squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
