Softball Recap: Bishop Loughlin Beats Holy Cross for Their Third Straight Win

Bishop Loughlin waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Holy Cross Knights 13-5. That's two games straight that the Lions have won by exactly eight runs.

Isabella Duverge and Tabitha Maldonado did most of the damage at the plate: Duverge scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances, while Maldonado got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four RBI, one run, and one double. Maldonado also put up a hit, which was her first of the season. Kendal Borden was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Bishop Loughlin's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Holy Cross, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
