The Prairie View Thunderhawks lost against the Eaglecrest Raptors back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Prairie View took a serious blow against Eaglecrest, falling 64-28. While losing is never fun, Prairie View can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 65th, while Eaglecrest is ranked 12th).
Several Thunderhawks players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Celicia Robles, who scored 17 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals. Robles scored a full 60.7% of Prairie View's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Paige Walker was another key contributor, scoring 4 points along with 8 rebounds.
Prairie View's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Eaglecrest, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.
Prairie View will take on Bruce Randolph at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Eaglecrest's road trip will continue as they head out to face Fruita Monument at 7:30 p.m. on December 7th. Fruita Monument will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
