The St. James Academy Thunder were the 65-42 winner over the Seaman Vikings when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. St. James Academy took a 50-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Seaman on Friday.
St. James Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Regan Becker, who scored seven points along with 13 rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Kerwin, who scored ten points.
St. James Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Seaman, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with that victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. James Academy will take on Notre Dame de Sion at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Notre Dame de Sion focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Friday. As for Seaman, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Piper at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
