Volleyball Recap: Lake Park's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Lake Park had to endure a four-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Maine East Blue Demons by a score of 2-0 on Saturday. The Lancers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Blue Demons, too.

Lake Park's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Evelyn Voytek led the charge by getting three digs and two aces. Voytek is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Lake Park's win bumped their record up to 9-16. As for Maine East, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-15.

Lake Park wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Hersey on the 4th. As for Maine East, they will head out to challenge Niles North at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
