Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Verona walked away with it. They blew past the McNair Academic Cougars 17-2 on Tuesday. The Hillbillies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by six runs or more this season.

Verona is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for McNair Academic, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Verona nor McNair Academic have any future games scheduled.
