The LaBrae Vikings will head out to challenge the Lakeview Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. LaBrae is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.
On Wednesday, LaBrae got the win against Liberty by a conclusive 23-3. The win continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Leopards: they've now won seven in a row.
Owen Boone and Austin Rowe were major factors no matter where they played. Throwing, Boone tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Rowe tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up a single earned run in six consecutive appearances. At bat, Boone got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs, while Rowe went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and two runs. That home run marked the first that Boone has launched this season.

LaBrae was able to grind out a solid victory over Lakeview in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 7-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
