KERNERSVILLE, N.C. - After trading leads four times,
East Forsyth (Kernersville, N.C.) snatched the lead for good when
Karson Sharpe thew a touchdown to
Ace Miller in the third quarter, paving the way for victory over
Page (Greensboro, N.C.) 32-21.
The Pirates pulled ahead on a touchdown, and subsequently went into halftime leading 14-13. The Eagles scored the winning points with a touchdown pass by Sharpe to Miller that came in the third quarter.
Sharpe and Miller teamed up to form a dynamic passing combination. Miller caught three touchdowns and Sharpe threw three. Miller has now caught three touchdowns this season, while Sharpe has thrown 15.
The defeat comes as a step back for Page, which notched a 21-10 victory over Ragsdale in its previous outing.
East Forsyth (5-0) will play a non-conference game against North Forsyth next week, while Page (2-3) will take on High Point Central also in a non-conference game.
