The Cocalico Eagles will venture away from home to face off against the Cedar Crest Falcons at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Cocalico is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak dating back to last season.
On Monday, Cocalico didn't have quite enough to beat Northern Lebanon and fell 4-3.
Aiden Davis was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Ian Showalter, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one double and one RBI.
Meanwhile, while Cedar Crest put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Lebanon. The Falcons were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over the Cedars. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Falcons.
Davin Kolter looked comfortable as he struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
On the hitting side, Cedar Crest let Lucas Schreier and Landon Yeingst run wild. Schreier got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs, while Yeingst went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That's the most runs Schreier has posted since back in March of 2025. Brayden Dorshimer was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Cocalico's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Cedar Crest, their record now sits at 2-0.
Cocalico couldn't quite finish off Cedar Crest when the teams last played back in March of 2025 and fell 8-6. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
