Hereford moved up to 437 from 543 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 4A Region I District 4. The Whitefaces were able to make move up by beating Lubbock 51-24.
Hereford made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,241 from 5,463. The improvement came about via a 51-24 victory over the Westerners last week.
Frenship's Trevor Lloyd and Bryndan Arredondo have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Lloyd has thrown for 136 yards this season, while Arredondo has two catches for 91 yards. Plainview's Daniel Miller leads the league in rushing yards with 164.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Bulldogs take on Monterey. Plainview is currently in third, while the Plainsmen are in second.
