Luke Sones gave up the fewest walks he has since back in February on Thursday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over 4.1 innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

Sones' strong effort led Poplarville over Bay and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
