The Marshall Owls pushed their score all the way to 55 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 68-55 to Harrisburg.
Marshall's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brody Kueker, who scored 17 points along with nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Chase Thompson, who scored 14 points.
Marshall's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Harrisburg, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marshall on the road again on Wednesday and play against Oak Grove at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Missouri (Oak Grove is ranked 370th, while Marshall is ranked 389th). As for Harrisburg, they will head out on the road to square off against Knox County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
