If Christian Fellowship were feeling good off their 45-24 takedown of the Lighthouse Prep Academy Eagles last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Christian Fellowship suffered a tough 61-37 defeat at the hands of Sunnydale Academy on Monday. It was the first time this season that Christian Fellowship let down their fans at home.
Despite the defeat, Christian Fellowship had strong showings from Brooke Grathwohl, who scored 14 points, and Emma Kate Bradley, who scored 10 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds. Grathwohl scored a full 37.8% of Christian Fellowship's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sunnydale Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kassie Abrahamson, who scored 25 points. Savannah Rester was another key contributor, scoring 20 points.
Christian Fellowship has yet to win a match at home this season, leaving them with a 3-2 record. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 23.33 points. As for Sunnydale Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Christian Fellowship will head out on the road to face off against Plaza Heights Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Missouri (Plaza Heights Christian Academy is ranked 213th, while Christian Fellowship is ranked 221st). Sunnydale Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against North Missouri HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m. on December 5th.
