Big North - Colonial recap November 5, 2013
Wayne Hills scaled the state rankings by moving to 54 from 85 this week, the biggest jump in Big North - Colonial. The Patriots were able to move up by topping Passaic County Tech 35-7.
Wayne Hills took down the Bulldogs 35-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Peter Palczewski threw for 156 yards and 2 touchdowns in the win.
Tommy Cosgriff was a key player and the best on defense this week as Northern Highlands defeated Bergenfield. He grabbed 2 sacks.
Bobby Brown was a passing and rushing force as the Highlanders topped the Bears. He completed 14 passes for 212 yards and 1 touchdown and also ran for 119 yards. Brown's favorite target this week was Kyle Wilczynski, who caught 5 passes for 88 yards.
Palczewski put up the best numbers through the air as Wayne Demikoff's team beat Passaic County Tech.
6-foot-1 quarterback Billy Crank of Wayne Valley is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,208. He has also thrown 13 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Holden Rosen-grupp. The Northern Highlands star has 17 catches for 561 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Paramus takes on second place Wayne Hills.
