The E.E. Smith Golden Bulls will head out on the road to challenge the Pine Forest Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. E.E. Smith will be strutting in after a victory while the Trojans will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Friday, E.E. Smith earned a 65-53 victory over the Trojans.
Derek Green continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 17 rebounds. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Tre Williams, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Pine Forest fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against the Bulldogs on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 62-60. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
E.E. Smith's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Pine Forest, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9.
E.E. Smith came up short against the Trojans in their previous matchup back in January, falling 63-56. Can E.E. Smith avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
