The Casteel Colts and the Brophy College Prep Broncos squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Casteel Colts had to settle for second. Casteel received a tough blow as they fell 31-17 to Brophy College Prep.
Brophy College Prep's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Charlie McGinnis, who rushed for 68 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 118 yards and a touchdown.
Casteel's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Brophy College Prep, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.
Casteel does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Brophy College Prep will be playing in front of their home fans against Red Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (Red Mountain is ranked 13th, while Brophy College Prep is ranked ninth).
