Hoehne played a tough  matchup  on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt  a  77-47 loss at the hands of the Simla Cubs.  Even though they lost, Hoehne  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with ten  offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least eight  offensive boards in 23 consecutive  contests  dating back to last season.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Simla to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Treven Kocerha, who  put up 19 points in addition to six  rebounds and four  steals. That's the most  points  Kocerha has posted since back in December of 2024.  Evan Guy was another key player,  putting up 20 points and five  boards.
Hoehne now  has a losing record of 10-11. As for Simla, the  victory was  the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-2.
 Looking ahead, Hoehne will be taking part in a tournament against Crowley County  at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Simla, they will welcome Salida  at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Simla's favor as the  squad sits on five straight wins at home while Salida has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
