Football Recap: Robbinsville Skates Past South Davidson with Ease

With a playoff win on the line, Robbinsville rose to the challenge on Friday. They blew past the South Davidson Wildcats, posting a 41-7 victory. The Black Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by 29 points or more this season.

Robbinsville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Luke Lovin led the charge by throwing for 65 yards and three TDs while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also rushing for 34 yards. What's more, Lovin racked up 156.3 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. Another back making a difference was Cameron Allison, who rushed for 51 yards and one score.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Robbinsville was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 274 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 215 rushing yards in five consecutive matchups.

Robbinsville pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.1 points on average over those games. As for South Davidson, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-2.

Coming up, after each having a week off, Robbinsville and Wilson Prep will shake off the rust and duke it out on December 11. The Black Knights will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 31 points in their last seven contests. South Davidson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
