Fans got a thrill when Nate Edmonds and Dustin Vandermartin connected against William Allen. The connection went for 75 yards, the longest such play in Anthracite this season.
Marian Catholic's Anthony Agosti rumbled for the longest rushing play in the league this season in his game against Schuylkill Haven last week. Agosti scampered for 65 yards on the play and finished with 78 on the day as his team fell to the Hurricanes.
Tamaqua's dynamic duo of Edmonds and Vandermartin proved tough for the Canaries to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Edmonds threw for 102 yards and 2 touchdowns and Vandermartin had 95 yards receiving.
The Blue Raiders' dynamic duo of Edmonds and Vandermartin proved to be unstoppable against William Allen, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
William Casella was the best running back in the league this week. In 23 carries, he ran for 180 yards as Schuylkill Haven beat George Clay's team. Ryan Fink also contributed to the rushing game with 132 yards on the ground.
Vandermartin was the best receiver in Anthracite this week as Sam Bonner's team defeated the Canaries.
Fink provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Mike Farr's team topped Stan Dakosty's team. Fink's key target this week was Zavier Webb, who caught 2 passes for 69 yards.
Edmonds put up the best numbers through the air as the Blue Raiders beat William Allen.

An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Jim Thorpe takes on North Schuylkill. The Olympians are in fifth place, while the Spartans are in first place.
The Hurricanes were the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from sixth to fourth in the league. Earlier in the week, Schuylkill Haven defeated Marian Catholic 30-6.
