Muir has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against The Diamond Ranch Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Muir has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 123 points over their last three games.
Last Friday, Muir got themselves on the board against Pasadena, but Pasadena never followed suit. They blew past the Bulldogs 45-0 at home. Given Muir's advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 225th, while Pasadena is ranked 847th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Diamond Ranch was able to grind out a solid victory over Northview on Thursday, taking the game 36-28.
Diamond Ranch got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was D'mariya Thomas out in front who picked up 144 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Jaelen Gallegos and his 114 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Diamond Ranch's win.
Muir has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Diamond Ranch, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
