The Rickover Naval Seadragons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 77-20 defeat at the hands of Chicago Mathematics & Science. Rickover Naval lost against Chicago Mathematics & Science in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 56-46 score last time.
Leading Chicago Mathematics & Science to victory were Michael Oginni and Joune Woods. Oginni scored 16 points, while Woods scored 14 points along with three steals and three blocks. Woods is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Casey Fleming, who scored eight points.
Rickover Naval's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Chicago Mathematics & Science, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rickover Naval will face off against Foreman at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chicago Mathematics & Science, they will head out on the road to face off against Uplift at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Uplift is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
