Roy/Mosquero will be defending their home turf for the first time on Saturday when they go up against Vaughn at 1:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
Roy/Mosquero had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They were completely outmatched, falling 13-63 to Hondo Valley.
Vaughn had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They were fully in charge last Friday, breezing past Grady/San Jon 61-21. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-14.
Vaughn's win lifted them to 1-0 while Roy/Mosquero's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Vaughn can add another positive mark to their record or if Roy/Mosquero can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Vaughn's step.
