Los Angeles CES took down Hamilton 72-53. Given Los Angeles CES's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 296th, while Hamilton is ranked 687th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Hamilton still got an impressive performance from Rhys Nelson, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Micah Jahn, who scored six points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Los Angeles CES's win bumped their record up to 14-10. As for Hamilton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Los Angeles CES will take on Palisades at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Palisades will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak. As for Hamilton, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Dorsey at 3:30 p.m. on January 27th.
