If Casteel was feeling good fresh off their 73-29 takedown of Corona del Sol last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Casteel Colts fell just short of the Palmetto Panthers by a score of 62-60 on Wednesday. The Colts' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Palmetto's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Santiago Henriquez, who went 9 for 19 on his way to 27 points and five assists. That makes it five consecutive games in which Henriquez has scored at least a third of Palmetto's points. Rafael Diaz was another key player, going 6 of 12 on his way to 21 points.

Casteel's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Palmetto, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Casteel has already played their next match, a 66-62 win against Rancho on the 19th. As for Palmetto, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 71-66 defeat against Bingham on the 19th.
