Bennington won the last time they faced Gretna, and  Gavin Olson did his part to make sure it happened again. The Bennington Badgers enjoyed a cozy  77-61 win over the Gretna Dragons on Saturday thanks in part to  Olson, who  went 5 of 11  to rack up 20 points in addition to seven  boards and six  assists. That's the most  points  he has posted since back in December of 2024.
 The team also got some help courtesy of  Aidan Smith, who  scored six points. He is also on a roll when it comes to  steals, as he's  now  grabbed two or more in the last four games he's  played.
Bennington's victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Gretna, they dropped their record down to 7-13 with the  loss, which was their fifth straight  on the road.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bennington will host Roncalli Catholic  at 7:15  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Gretna, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pius X  at 7:15  p.m.  on Thursday.
