After having lost a blowout to Watonga in their previous game, Okeene was happy to find some success on Friday. Okeene took their game against Cordell 21-12. Cordell can consider this payback for the 20-36 loss they dealt Okeene the last time the teams encountered one another.
The win got Okeene back to even at 1-1. The defeat dropped Cordell's record to 0-2.
Okeene hope to keep the momentum going despite some extra time before their next contest against Hinton at 7:00 PM in two weeks. Cordell have some extra time to regroup and restrategize before their next contest, which is against Thomas-Fay-Custer at 7:00 PM in two weeks.
