In what's become a running theme this season, the Rosamond Roadrunners gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They breezed by California City on the road to the tune of 87-60. The victory was familiar territory for Rosamond who now have six in a row.
It was another big night for Andrew Arredondo, who scored 29 points. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last five times he's played. Fabian Robles was another key contributor, scoring 20 points.
Despite the loss, California City saw an underclassman step up: Cassius 'Hollywood' Brown scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Brown hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of DeShawn 'Pocket Magic' Elizalde, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Rosamond has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a massive bump to their 13-8 record this season. As for California City, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-8.
Rosamond won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Wasco at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th. Wasco is hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses. As for California City, they will head out on the road to square off against Desert at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
