The Glens Falls Indians posted their biggest win since December 21, 2023 on Thursday. They blew past Schuylerville 55-31. Given Glens Falls' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 177th, while Schuylerville is ranked 368th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Glens Falls to victory, but perhaps none more so than Frances McTiernan, who scored 17 points. That's the first time this season that McTiernan scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Carolyn Lunt, who scored 16 points.
Glens Falls has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Schuylerville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.
Glens Falls will challenge Queensbury at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Queensbury is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Schuylerville won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Corinth at 5:30 p.m. on January 19th. Corinth is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games.
