Central posted their closest victory since February 25th on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Zachary Broncos. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Broncos last Saturday, they had to take a 2-0 defeat.

Central is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Zachary, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-13-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central will welcome Scotlandville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Zachary, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Broncos 2.5, the Bears 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
